Coastal Carolina University invites applications for a CRM/Customer Service Database Manager (Information Systems/Business Analyst II) position in the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards. The CRM/Customer Database Manager manages the Office of Admissions and Merit Awards’ third-party, web-based customer relationship management (CRM) system. In collaboration with the senior leadership, this position is responsible for all aspects of deploying the strategic communications plan, generating required reports, building queries and maintaining the security of the data in the CRM system. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: developing business processes that create departmental efficiencies and solutions for communicating with students, parents, counselors, and for managing events and programs that are part of the greater departmental outreach initiatives; demonstrating strong technical integration, architecture and analytical skills; communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders about data, reports and integration needs; managing all imports into the CRM system. Serving as the data integration specialist of all prospect and application data; working in conjunction with Information Technology Services (ITS) to develop file layouts to ensure the successful integration of data between the CRM and Colleague; implementing and managing successful, highly measurable CRM programs pinpointing specific enrollment goals and targeted audiences; generating measurement reports to determine effectiveness of marketing efforts; maintaining data security and precision to ensure identification of, continued correspondence with, and tracking of, prospective and newly admitted students to the University; developing and maintaining the undergraduate admissions application forms within the CRM system; managing the form builder within the CRM system to create the annual undergraduate applications (freshmen, transfer, readmit, non-degree and international); consulting and collaborating with Information Technology Services (ITS) to integrate new and innovative document management and application processing technologies into the overall application processing workflows; modifying existing workflows and designing new workflows for the processing unity and measures efficiency improvements; analyzing user needs to design and maintain an effective CRM system which contains over one hundred thousand prospective student contacts; developing and implementing a training program for staff within the department for the effective use of the CRM; developing training materials for staff that support ongoing training needs; providing exceptional customer service to all University constituents. Qualifications: A high school diploma and experience in computer system development and modification are required. A Bachelor’s degree in a related area may be substituted for the required work experience. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Knowledge of capabilities and intricacies of information systems, the ability to understand and carry out moderately complex technical instructions and requests, and the ability to work effectively with users, vendors, and other IT personnel are required. Experience in a higher education institution plus experience with CRM systems is preferred. Demonstrated experience in implementing, utilizing and training staff in the use of a CRM for admissions is preferred. Additionally a candidate should possess excellent verbal and written communication skills; be an energetic, self-motivated, multi-tasking, team player with excellent organizational and administrative abilities; possess excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work with a diverse group of professionals in a demanding environment; have an advanced knowledge of computer software programs with advanced mathematical and analytical skills; have strong time management skills with strict attention to detail to establish priorities, manage multiple projects, evaluate outcomes, and drive to deadlines.
