The University of Holy Cross invites applications for the position of Registrar. Deadline to apply is November 30, 2018.

Position Description
The Registrar must demonstrate commitment to the mission of the University to educate the minds and hearts of its students as well as support the goals of the division of Enrollment Management. This position is responsible for the maintenance, accuracy, integrity, security and storage of all academic records as outlined by FERPA. The Registrar oversees the maintenance of computerized student record systems in following areas: course schedule preparation, registration, classroom and general scheduling, grade reporting, transcript requests, degree and graduation certification, enrollment verification and enrollment reporting.

Responsibilities include: Interpreting and upholding academic policies; development and publishing of course schedules and academic calendars in concert with academic departments; oversee all aspects of course enrollment; processing enrollment certifications for students utilizing Veteran Administration educational benefits and Department of Deference Tuition Assistance; overseeing the maintenance of the degree audit system; co-chairing the Commencement Committee and providing broad oversight for commencement activities; and chairing and serving on various other University committees; collaborating with other units to improve data stewardship and overall effectiveness of the University; preparation of reports for internal and external purposes; managing the department budget.

Position requires a Bachelor’s degree but a Master’s degree is preferred; a student centered attitude; three to five years of direct experience in a Registrar’s office with direct experience pertaining to academic policy, curriculum issues, and student records; familiarity with student data and enterprise management systems; exceptional interpersonal skills; ability to work well under pressure; proven ability to work effectively with a wide range of constituents; strong ability to establish and manage priorities and deadlines; experience with National Student Clearing House, National Student Loan Data System, and IPEDS; demonstrated experience as a Veterans School Certifying Official; must be able to work independently with minimal supervision.

Compensation is commensurate with credentials, background and experience.
