The Campus Visit and Event Specialist will provide leadership and professional expertise in the planning and implementation of prospective student campus visit and event experiences including but not limited to the daily campus tour program, group tours and on and off campus events. Work collaboratively with the admissions office staff and other members of the campus community to plan and execute effective hosted visits, tours and events in an effort to achieve institutional enrollment goals. Ensure that high standards and enrollment initiatives, set by the division of Enrollment Management and Brand Management are reflected in the campus visit and event experience. Evening activities and weekend work is required to meet the needs and expectations of prospective students and their parents. Candidate will work a variable work schedule (occasional Saturdays, evening programs e.g.) Off campus travel is sporadically required including overnight stays, in support of events and recruitment. Must be able to lift in excess of 45 lbs. Must be able to conduct campus-wide tours, up to two hours or longer outdoors in varying weather conditions with or without mobility accommodations. Minimum Qualifications: High School/GED and four years related experience or two years post Secondary education and two years related experience Experience in, and knowledge of, planning, execution and management of various prospective student campus visit experiences for diverse and distinguished guests. Demonstrated ability to formulate creative ideas and to analyze, evaluate, and negotiate details reflective of a successful campus visit experience. Demonstrated project management, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage details of multiple and complex projects within firm schedules; Must possess computer skills and the ability to use word processing and spreadsheet software, knowledge of desktop production and database systems. Ability to review data reports and accurately facilitate discussions and decisions related to the campus visit and event program, including but not limited to registration numbers, general event plans, venue and room sizes, catering, etc. Must possess conflict management skills and the ability to offer solution-focused ideas / results. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision; Public speaking and prospective student recruitment experience. Valid Driver's License Able to work in a fast-paced, team environment. Strong written and verbal communication skills, excellent general office skills; high ethical standards and professional behavior; be able to work independently; Knowledge of MS application. Preferred Qualifications: Bachelor's Degree & one year related experience in higher education, hospitality, event management, marketing, communications or other related field. This position requires a high level of internal and external public contact serving as a liaison between the Admissions Office, various academic units, and other organizations within the University. Strong written, verbal, interpersonal and technical skills are necessary. Knowledge of MS application. Ability to understand, respond, and problem-solve effectively to address concerns and interests of constituents, guests, vendors, and others. Public speaking and prospective student recruitment experience. Demonstrated project management, time management, and organization skills, Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and supervisory skills.
