Support the University's enrollment management goals, specifically but not limited to academically talented students, by providing counsel to prospective students, parents and counselors about admissions procedures, housing, and scholarships/financial aid. Analyze recruitment trends and formulate action plans to effectively market the University. Determine and execute strategies for effective outreach to Scholar Recruitment eligible students. Outreach encompasses measured benchmarks of student contact including monthly goals for calls, texts, emails and personal interactions. Meet and foster professional relationships with Scholar Recruitment eligible students and their families. Meetings take place on and off campus in a variety of settings. Serve, promote, recruit and represent the University by being the primary point of contact for high achieving prospective students, their families and high school counselors. Work collaboratively with the Honors College, Scholar Development and other academic partners to create a robust comprehensive program for all Scholar Recruitment designated students. Use available data to target Scholar Recruitment designated students from OK, TX and other high profile settings, including development of strategies to identify Scholar Recruitment designated students early in the process such as high school juniors. Demonstrate self-direction, creativity and strategic thinking in prospect development, yield enhancement activities, information services and problem resolution. Make presentations to large and small groups of prospective students/families, on and off-campus, about the opportunities available at OSU; give campus tours when needed. Assist with daily office operations including answering phones, responding to email, greeting and providing counsel to prospective students, families and guests to meet our customer service goals. Participate in the development and execution of on and off-campus recruitment, conversion and yield activities/events designed to market Oklahoma State University to prospective freshman (and transfer) students. Primary point person for the recruitment of VIP students. Other duties as assigned. Frequent off campus travel (in state and out of state) several times per year. Requires some overnight stays. Frequent evening activities and some weekends to meet needs of prospective students and parents. Driving conditions vary with weather. Ability to lift 45 lbs. (boxes of recruiting materials).
