Essential Job Functions	
The position is the primary lead for Degree Works, the university degree audit software. As such, this position collaborates regularly with ITS and is responsible for overseeing the software including the security, updates of technical tables, enhancements, testing of new functionality, scheduling of software patches and updates, organizing and coordinating the testing of upgrades among the colleges, and managing the undergraduate degree audit staff within the Registrar’s Office. This position also serves as the manager over scribing changes and updates needed and serves as a report writer for Degree Works which requires an understanding and application of SQL based programming and logic. This position must analyze reports daily/weekly as needed to identify issues that may need immediate attention or resolution.
This position is the curriculum specialist for the university and is responsible for implementing all curriculum and course changes as approved by AP&P which requires a knowledge and understanding of University curriculum, academic policies, and procedures. In addition, this position must: 
*Review proposals regarding curriculum changes; with strong attention to details particularly when changes being proposed could cause difficulties in implementation and/or issues during registration for students.
*Apply extensive knowledge of university policies, procedures and practices to assess and identify any potential problems or technical implications of changes made within Banner and/or Degree Works.
*Ensure that program policies and procedures are interpreted correctly both internally and externally to the university or program. 
*Serve as a resource to deans, faculty and staff and be willing to address issues that require an understanding of both academic needs and programmatic/resource constraints. 
*Serve on university committees including but not limited to, the Graduate and Undergraduate Academic Policies & Procedures Committees (AP&P), the Graduate AP&P Curriculum Subcommittee, the AP&P Joint Subcommittee and serve as liaison to General Education Council.
*Responsible for the input of all curriculum changes into the Banner Student System including course attributes, majors/minors, repeat information, grade modes, course equivalencies, and course descriptions, etc. Must have a strong attention to detail and ensure accuracy in data management.
*Responsible for supervising Curriculum and Degree Works employees and serving as a senior member of the Registrar’s Office management team. 
*Responsible for oversight of the Academic Program Inventory (API) on the Registrar’s website and ensuring accuracy. 
*Other duties as assigned, including but not limited to, working as a team member with other Registrar’s Office staff and areas as may be needed, working with other campus offices on creating greater efficiencies with processes and operations and assisting Registrar with special projects or tasks as may be needed.

Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities Required for this Position	
Possess a working knowledge of curriculum processes in a university setting as well as processing curriculum changes in Banner or comparable SIS system. Working knowledge of Degree Works and its functionalities, serve as primary lead for Degree Works and oversee and manage upgrades, updates, security, testing and reporting. Supervise curriculum unit employees; serve on university committees, particularly curriculum committees, consult with and provide guidance on curriculum related issues and changes primarily to academic departments and deans; provide updates for website content as it relates to curriculum and Degree Works information; serve as a senior associate registrar and member of the management team within the Office of the Registrar.

Preferred Qualifications	
Bachelor’s degree and five years of experience in a technical or administrative office at a post-secondary institution of higher learning. Master’s degree preferred. Experience in DegreeWorks and Banner highly preferred. Experience in curriculum maintenance a plus. A high level of motivation, excellent interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and the ability to exercise judgment and discretion in interpreting and applying policies and procedures. Previous experience as a supervisor is preferred.
