Purpose of Position This role serves as the primary technical/functional contact for all aspects of the Student Records module of PeopleSoft Campus Solutions and related third-party feeds and software, and is the project manager for the Registrar's Office. Essential Functions - Testing processes, customizations, and integration related to all Student Records areas. Includes investigating and understanding detailed processes in areas such as academic records, registration, curriculum management, scheduling, recurring processes, transcripts, transfer credits, and grade rosters. Coordinate testing of software modules within the student information system and related software systems when new releases, patches, bundles, critical updates, modifications, or integrations are made. - Lead efforts related to technology improvements. Establish priorities for technology initiatives in conjunction with Registrar. Keep abreast of technology changes that may enhance the services provided by the office. Document changes made to the Registrar modules and disseminate information as appropriate to users. Develop and write functional specifications and work with developers to implement modifications to the system when needed. - Contribute to administrative leadership team to support critical needs of the office and academic community. Help/assist as needed to ensure the Academic Affairs Office is meeting its goals and collaborate with the Enrollment Management Division. - Writing and maintaining queries and reports. Utilize reporting tools to extract data from the operational data store to help with analysis and testing. - Serve as the functional security analyst for Student Records related modules within Campus Solutions. Perform quarterly audits of PeopleSoft role security in conjunction with Associate Registrar and IT Systems Analyst. Approve SR related role and functional security requests. Investigate security issues as related to Student Records access. - Field questions about functionality and troubleshoot technical difficulties for staff with IT personnel. - Analyze and facilitate all aspects of classroom scheduling in Ad*Astra software and provide support for data feed. Provides support with ImageNow imaging software. Work with Institutional Analysis to validate data in OBIEE reports created for offices across campus. Required Qualifications - Bachelor's degree. - Three to five years' experience in technical or data systems project management. Preferred Qualifications - Experience with Oracle PeopleSoft Campus Solutions, Ad*Astra, OBIEE, and ImageNow. - Experience in Higher Education. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities - Knowledge of Registrar processes and responsibilities. - Excellent communication and quantitative skills. - Commitment to a collaborative work environment. - Ability to build good rapport with a variety of constituents. Working Conditions - May work around standard office conditions. - Repetitive use of a keyboard at a workstation. Additional Information The retirement plan for this position is Teacher Retirement System of Texas (TRS), subject to the position being at least 20 hours per week and at least 135 days in length.
