The Bursar manages and oversees operation of students, faculty, and staff accounts.  The incumbent will insure that positive customer relations occur with students, staff, faculty, and outside agencies.  The Bursar will also provide accurate financial reporting.  

The Essential duties and responsibilities are: 

•	Provide professional leadership and supervise, recruit, train, assist, and evaluate the staff of the Bursar’s Office.
•	Receive, record, deposit, and insure accountability for all funds coming to the University.
•	Record, maintain, disburse, and reconcile all student financial aid grant, scholarship, and loan accounts with University polity and Federal/State regulations and counsel students, faculty, staff and outside agencies.
•	Make accurate and timely entry of cash receipts, student receivable, and financial aid transactions.
•	Communicate with Information Services on computer related problems and enhancements, and will work closely with student services to insure efficient processing of student accounts, loans and fees, and contact companies for sponsorship in a professional and helpful manner.

Minimum qualifications include a Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Business Administration, 5 years of related university work experience (to include 5 years of management experience), excellent organizational and planning skills, the ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing and must be detail oriented.  Must possess a valid driver's license and have the ability to travel occasionally as directed.  Must have excellent interpersonal skills, complex problem solving ability, mainframe, PC, database management experience, and a working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite to include Excel. Knowledge of accounting information systems and Internet Native Banner is preferred.  Previous experience with student receivable and an automated registration program in a higher education institution with experience working with students desired.  The approximate starting salary is $75,000 - $80,000 with an excellent benefits package.
