The Assistant Registrar in the Office of the University Registrar oversees Course & Curriculum Management for the University of Miami’s 12 schools/colleges. This includes but is not limited to the maintenance of the course catalog, overseeing production of class schedules for Fall, Spring and Summer terms; and training and customer service to the various school/department schedulers. This position is responsible for developing and maintaining timelines for all course and scheduling related projects. This position will be the primary project manager for the implementation of the Course Leaf Curriculum Management System (CIM) for the 2018-2019 AY. This position is responsible for ensuring accuracy in the University’s course scheduling process. Core Job Functions 1. Manage the Course & Curriculum yearly processes; this includes but is not limited to: a. Timely input of course descriptions. b. Development and implementation of timeline for each semester course scheduling. c. Coordination of course updates with annual bulletin publication. 2. Coordinate with Classroom Management course & room schedule timeline for each Fall, Spring and Summer schedules on an annual basis. 3. Quarterly and ad hoc testing of the Curriculum data for PeopleSoft patches/updates. 4. Supervise 2 Curriculum Program Coordinators. 5. Develop, conduct/supervise Course Scheduling training. 6. Troubleshoot issues related to course & curriculum. 7. Adheres to University and unit-level policies and procedures and safeguards University assets. Core Qualifications Education: Bachelor’s Degree. Experience: Two or more years of experience working in a Registrar/Records Office. Two or more years of supervising experience. Experience working with Course & Curriculum in People Soft Student Systems. Any combination of experience/education will be considered. Knowledge, Skills and Attitudes: Strong analytical skills.
