The University of South Carolina Salkehatchie invites applications for a Regional Admissions Representative. This position will report directly to the Director of Enrollment Management Services. The Regional Admissions Representative represents the University of South Carolina Palmetto College to prospective students, as well as their parents, spouses and high school guidance counselors. This employee will be responsible to recruit, admit, and enroll prospective students for degree completion programs in our service areas for Palmetto College in the state of South Carolina. This employee will also serve as a liaison to refer students to USC Salkehatchie. Other duties include, but not limited to: secure new inquiries (personally developed leads); manage inquiries to achieve prompt contact and performance activity; utilize approved recruitment policies/formats; make prompt, continued, and effective contact with inquiries and redirect unqualified candidates based upon incompatible career goals. This employee will also pursue qualified candidates for enrollment, and determine appropriateness of candidates for admission based upon career and personal goal compatibility; provide academic advisement & follow-up to students enrolled in BOL & BLS programs; assist other personnel and departments with data collection & problem solving within the CRM to ensure successful student matriculation. When applicable, this employee will participate in appropriate recruitment and enrollment activities, including open house, regional presentations, training sessions, orientation programs, career days, etc. This employee will adhere to the highest ethical standards and comply with all state and federal accreditation and college rules/regulations regarding student recruitment. Minimum qualifications: Master's degree in student personnel services or related field, or bachelor's degree and 2 years related experience. Preferred qualifications: Background experience in admissions, public relations, or another student personnel area is desired. Preference will be given to those candidates who currently live in the existing geographic markets and have knowledge of the local secondary schools. Salary is SC band 5, plus state benefits.
