The Division of Enrollment Management and Services (EMAS) supports and enhances the total educational experience of NC State students. Enrollment management works across the student life cycle, from identifying prospective students, through graduation, and beyond. The fact that many of EMAS’ functions are at the intersection of critical academic services creates opportunities for strategic investments that can positively impact student outcomes; reduce time to degree; promote awareness of NC State’s brand beyond North Carolina; and, create business efficiencies. The AVP is a key member of the Division of Enrollment Management and Services’ leadership team. The position is responsible for national and international undergraduate recruitment and admission of both first year and transfer students. The AVP provides leadership to a highly talented and seasoned admissions staff. The position works collaboratively across the division and with other units on campus to develop enrollment strategies that are aligned with the university’s strategic objectives. The position is responsible for hiring, training, and promoting the professional development of office staff. The AVP is responsible for fiscal management of the office and for ensuring compliance with relevant policies. The position provides leadership in the procurement, implementation, and integration of recruitment and admissions-related technologies. Preferred experience includes ten years of progressive leadership in admissions or enrollment management. Previous experience at a highly selective, public institution is desirable. Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal skills are required. Knowledge of the most recent trends in admissions is a must. The successful candidate is expected to have expertise in related technology, the use of data analytics, and effective communication strategies. Leadership experience in professional admissions organizations is preferred. A Master’s degree in a related field is required.
