The Office of Undergraduate Admissions at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville invites applications and nominations for the position of Coordinator of Regional Recruitment in the Austin/Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas.

The Enrollment Management division is comprised of 140 full-time staff who serve our students through five departments and functions: Undergraduate Admissions, One Stop Express Student Services, Financial Aid and Scholarships, the University Registrar and Strategic Enrollment Reporting and Analysis.

The Knoxville campus of the University of Tennessee seeks a dynamic admissions leader with the ability to contribute in impactful and meaningful ways to the University's strategic plan and enrollment goals. In addition, we seek colleagues that are committed to teamwork and have a passion for serving students through our work in higher education.

This position develops and coordinates strategic recruitment initiatives, designed to attract competitive out-of-state students. This position will provide ongoing training, support and leadership in the strategic planning for out-of-state travel recruitment. This Position will oversee and coordinate the training and mentoring of out-of-state based freshman recruitment staff. In addition, the coordinator will help create effective recruitment strategies including messages and programs that will help to achieve the overall enrollment goals. This position will be located in and have a territory in the Austin/Dallas/Fort Worth area of Texas. The coordinator reports to the Associate Director of Freshman Recruitment, Undergraduate Admissions.

This position will work coordinate annual training of Admissions Counselors and Regional Recruiters. Evaluate new and existing markets for future recruitment plans, support and advise the Associate Director in strategic planning for recruiting the new freshman class each year. The Coordinator of Regional Recruitment also represents the university at on and off-campus recruitment events and reviews applicants for admissions to the university. This position will also work closely with the Knoxville office in training recruitment staff.

•	Guide staff in selecting proper recruitment markets to meet the needs of the office
•	Track each recruiter to be sure that they have met their recruitment goals
•	Communicate the office policies, changes and updating them on recent changes in recruitment
•	Ensure recruitment staff is following office policies, and correct them if not
•	Build relationships and maintain open communications with partners at high schools and community colleges
•	Plan travel strategies for recruitment of the new freshman class by working with each recruiter on their existing markets and finding new ones to recruit in
•	Admissions recommendations regarding review of freshman applicants
•	Communicate with parents, students and other callers regarding their queries
•	Work with the Associate Director on ACT and College Board score purchases for purchasing names for prospective students by reviewing exiting markets and new markets

Required Qualifications:

•	Bachelor's degree is required in a related field
•	2+ years of admissions experience
•	Effective oral, writing, listening and interpersonal communication skills
•	Comprehensive understanding of admissions including extensive knowledge of policies and practices influencing the enrollment of students
•	Demonstrated experience in strategic planning and strategy execution, including measurement of effectives and success
•	Ability to take initiative and demonstrate creativity in dealing with difficult circumstances
•	Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
•	Ability to multi-task and work respectfully with a diverse population
•	Capability to prioritize work assignments 

Preferred/Desired Qualifications:

•	Confidence to give oral presentations to small and large group audiences
•	Open to working with and exploring new technologies to enhance the recruiting efforts of the University of Tennessee
•	Knowledge of AdmissionPros or other admissions tracking software
•	Experience with recruitment of high ability students and students from diverse socioeconomic backgrounds
